However, PS5 users will still have some advantages. But, luckily for Xbox fans, the game will launch on both platforms on the same day – Thursday, Nov. Sony has obviously struck some partnership deal with Rockstar regarding the launch of the “GTA V: Expanded and Enhanced” edition.
But considering that the PS5 and Xbox Series X has similar technical capacities in some aspect, it may be fair to expect a 4K 60 FPS performance as well. Microsoft has yet to release a similar blog post to reveal the target performance of “GTA V: Expanded and Enhanced” on Xbox Series X/S. However, it could be the confirmation needed to convince some fans so they would consider buying “GTA V: Expanded and Enhanced” instead of playing the old port through backward compatibility.
This is hardly a surprise, though, considering the hardware specifications available on the PS5.
Down in the list is “GTA V: Expanded and Enhanced,” and PlayStation Germany wrote (via Google Translate), “You have never seen the criminal metropolis Los Santos so beautiful when the skyline shines in crisp 4K resolution thanks to a bold graphic update and you make the city extremely smooth and unsafe thanks to a smooth 60 FPS.”
The German website listed the games expected to launch on PS4 and PS5 for the remaining months of 2021. There is still no demo to revel at, but a new blog post from PlayStation Germany confirmed what “GTA V” fans hope. To this day, though, fans have yet to see a proper demo of just how this edition – designed for new-gen consoles – will improve the overall gameplay experience. It has been more than a year since Rockstar announced the release of the “GTA V: Expanded and Enhanced” version. And it looks like they just got the confirmation they need after an official blog post mentioned the next-gen version would run at 4K 60 FPS on PS5. Long-time fans may be in agreement that the main point of releasing the “GTA V: Expanded and Enhanced” edition is so they can play Rockstar Games’ top-selling title with significantly improved resolution and frame rate.
